DTF Transfers for Rolling Meadows Businesses

We print about five miles from the Golf Road office corridor. Twelve minutes, give or take the lights on Algonquin.

Rolling Meadows runs on business. Office parks along Golf and Algonquin, light industrial toward Hicks Road, trades and service companies working out of the commercial strips off Kirchoff. What that adds up to, from where we sit, is a lot of companies who need branded apparel and keep running into the same two problems: minimum order quantities they do not need, and setup fees on designs they will print once.

Neither applies here. DTFIL prints direct-to-film transfers with no minimums and no per-design setup cost. Order before 12:00 PM CST, Monday through Friday, and it prints and ships within 24 hours.

Why This Works for Business Apparel

No Minimum Order, No Setup Fee

A twelve-person office does not need to buy seventy-five shirts. A contractor adding two new hires does not need to reorder a full run.

Screen printing charges setup per colour, per design, which is why every supplier quoting you has a minimum. DTF has no setup step at all. Twelve shirts costs what twelve shirts costs. One shirt is viable too.

Different Departments, One Sheet

This is where it gets efficient for anyone ordering staff apparel.

A facility might need warehouse shirts, office polos, and a hi-vis-adjacent variant for anyone on the floor. Three designs, three quantities. On a gang sheet, all of it prints together and you pay for film area rather than three separate jobs.

Same logic for a restaurant with front-of-house and kitchen variants, or a trades company with owner, crew, and apprentice versions.

Print on What You Already Buy

You are not restricted to a supplier's catalogue. Source your own blanks — the shirts your team actually likes, the jackets that hold up on a job site — and press onto those.

DTF holds on cotton, polyester, blends, denim, nylon, leather, canvas, and spandex. For hard-surface items — tumblers, mugs, notebooks — UV-DTF covers it.

Reorder Without Re-Setup

New hire in March. Two more in July. With screen printing each reorder is a fresh setup charge unless you commit to volume up front. With DTF, you order two transfers and press two shirts.

That is the difference between a uniform program you maintain and one that quietly dies after the first batch.

Tax-Exempt Accounts

Qualifying nonprofits, schools, and organizations can purchase tax-exempt. Submit your certificate once.

Who We Print For in Rolling Meadows

Office and corporate teams — The Golf Road and Algonquin corridor businesses ordering team apparel, onboarding kits, offsite merch, and client gifts. Our blog covers remote employee welcome gifts if you are shipping to a distributed team.

Trades and contractors — Electrical, HVAC, plumbing, landscaping, and construction companies ordering crew shirts, hoodies, and jackets. Reorder two at a time as crews change instead of committing to a case.

Light industrial and warehousing — Facility apparel, department-specific variants, visitor and contractor shirts.

Restaurants and retail — Front-of-house and kitchen apparel for the businesses along Kirchoff and the surrounding commercial strips.

Trade shows and events — Booth staff apparel and giveaway merch, particularly for companies exhibiting at the convention space around the Woodfield corridor. Short lead times are normal here and our 24-hour production handles them.

Gyms and fitness — Branded training gear on performance fabrics.

Rolling Meadows High School and Park District groups — Team, club, and booster apparel.

Print shops and promotional resellers — Local operations that press but do not print, and want a supplier close enough that transit is not part of the schedule.

A Practical Way to Start a Uniform Program

Companies that get this right tend to follow the same sequence.

1. Order a free sample pack first. Press it on the actual blank you plan to standardize on. Wash it several times. Confirm it survives what your team will put it through before you commit anyone else's budget.

2. Print one of each variant. One warehouse shirt, one office shirt, one jacket. Show them to whoever signs off. Physical samples get approved faster than mockups.

3. Order the first real batch on one gang sheet. All variants, all sizes of design, one order.

4. Keep spare transfers on hand. Order a few extra of each design and store them flat, cool, and dry. When someone starts on a Monday, you press a shirt that afternoon instead of placing an order and waiting.

That last step is the one most companies skip, and it is the one that makes the difference between a program that runs itself and one that generates a small crisis every time you hire.

H2: Pressing Your Transfers

Fabric Temperature Time
Cotton — first press 300–315°F 10–13 seconds
Cotton — second press 300–315°F 3–5 seconds
Polyester blends 300°F 10–12 seconds
100% polyester 250–285°F 3–8 seconds

Pressure: Firm and even on every press.

Peeling: Cold peel preferred. Hot and warm both work.

Cut off the colour ribbon before pressing. It will not come off a garment once it goes under the platen.

Keep seams, buttons, zippers, and pockets outside the press area — particularly relevant on work shirts, which have more of all four than a plain tee.

H2: Frequently Asked Questions

What is the minimum order for company shirts?

There isn't one. Order a single transfer or several hundred. Because there is no per-design setup fee, a run of ten costs proportionally the same as a run of a hundred — which is why DTF suits businesses that reorder in small numbers as staff change.

Can I put different designs for different departments on one order?

Yes, and it is the most efficient way to do it. A gang sheet holds multiple designs at once, so warehouse, office, and management variants all print together. You pay for the film area rather than three separate setups.

How fast can I get transfers?

Orders placed before 12:00 PM CST, Monday through Friday, print and ship within 24 hours. We print in Schaumburg, so local transit is short. Free shipping over $100.

Can I supply my own shirts and jackets?

Yes. You buy whatever blanks you want and press our transfers onto them. That means you control quality, fit, and cost rather than being limited to a supplier's catalogue. If you would rather not press in-house, submit a Custom Apparel Inquiry for finished garments.

Will the print survive industrial washing and job-site wear?

Pressed correctly, yes. The two most common causes of early failure are insufficient pressure and pressing across seams, which prevents even contact. Follow the settings for your specific fabric and use the second press. For workwear specifically, order a sample pack and wash-test it before standardizing a uniform on it.

Can I print Rolling Meadows High School logos for a booster club?

Not without written permission from the school or District 214. Official school names, logos, and mascots are protected marks, and that applies to parent volunteers and booster clubs the same as to commercial printers. Districts have approval processes for spirit wear — go through it and we will print once you have sign-off. Original designs that avoid official marks are no problem.

Do you offer tax-exempt purchasing?

Yes, for qualifying organizations. Submit your certificate through our Tax Exempt page.
